Typescript reminiscences of Mary Collins Parsons concerning her family's journey from Peoria, Illinois (April 13, 1852) to Portland, Oregon (October 17, 1852); William Collins, her father, was elected company leader of 100 wagons, but died from cholera near Fort Laramie; additional relatives died along the trail; she remembered meeting men recently involved in Indian hostilities which left five Indians and one white man dead.
